We’ve been hard at work here at the Lincoln Square Taproom, and we can’t wait to welcome you in once we’re open. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping you in the loop by sharing photos and stories of our progress, and updates as our journey unfolds.
Ever since opening our flagship Lakeview location, we’ve been dreaming of finding the perfect spot for a local-beer taproom in the wonderful Chicago neighborhood of Lincoln Square.
So needless to say, we were thrilled to find just that space a few months back—a charming, historic place with strong neighborhood roots. A spot where beer just should be flowing.
Next task: time to get to work.
Our goal was to keep the space largely as-is—just upgrade infrastructure wherever necessary or required.
Unfortunately, the first problem we ran into was a big leak!
So we had to get scrappy. As quickly as possible, we “rescued” as much of the original woodwork as we could, whisking it to the basement to be salvaged and brought back later in the process.
Already, it’s turning into a much larger project that we had anticipated…we’d hoped to leave the space largely untouched! But those pushy water fairies had different plans.
No matter. We’ll keep at it and continue dreaming of opening soon…
